Posted on September 21, 2021

(Harriman, TN) – Roane Medical Center, a member hospital of Covenant Health, welcomed seven members from the Tennessee National Guard COVID Taskforce on Tuesday Sept. 21, 2021. The state of Tennessee is offering National Guard assistance for hospitals experiencing increases in overall volumes and staffing challenges, due in large part to the number of COVID-19 patients being hospitalized. Roane Medical Center recently reached out to request placement.

“Roane Medical Center is so thankful and proud to have members of the Tennessee National Guard assisting us in our hospital,” said Jason Pilant, Chief Administrative Officer.  “This dedicated group of individuals are eager to serve and help our community during this time of need.  Thank you to the state of Tennessee and Covenant Health for providing this support.”

COVID-19 cases have continued to rise in the state. A daily update of Roane Medical Center’s COVID-19 hospitalizations is posted on Covenant Health’s website in dashboard format and is updated weekdays at noon. The dashboard can be accessed with daily updates Monday through Friday. The web page also includes numbers from all the Covenant Health member hospitals.
