Congratulations to Roane Medical Center’s Nursing Assistant, Joanie Bailey for receiving her Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA).
To earn this certification, nursing assistants must complete a training program approved by the state, which often sets a minimum number of clinical and classroom hours. After completing the CNA program, nursing assistants must earn their state’s nursing assistant certification before practicing. Each state sets its own requirements for certification, which often includes written exams, oral exams, skills tests, and required clinical hours.
Certified Nursing Assistants are responsible for many duties, including helping patients bathe and dress, dispensing medication, and recording vital signs.
We are incredibly proud to have Joanie on our RMC team!
