Aquatic Therapy

Roane Medical Center therapy pool

The aquatic therapy pool is a special tool created to assist patients who can not tolerate the level of physical therapy they need on land. It features a lift chair to safely move patients into the water, a bench for seated exercise, a six-foot well for deep water therapy, and an underwater treadmill. Aquatic therapy uses water to take up to 75-percent of a patient’s body weight off the physical therapy process.
